Tennesse Valley Authority to retire coal plans

The Tennessee Valley Authority announced in November plans to retire three coal power plants.

TVA officials said the decision was part of a long-term strategy of  "what’s best in terms of its positive impact on T.V.A.’s rates, debt and the environment, and it will bring the greatest benefit to the people of the valley.”
