March 25 forum held at the new city of Independence utility center
Forum Eight: IPL updates and Utility center Tour
Indy Energy held a special community forum at the new City of Independence Utilities Center - the former physician building at the Medical Center of Independence - on March 25th.

The forum include a tour of the new utility center which should receive a LEED Platinum energy efficiency rating and an update onseveral electric utility issues including:
- Decommissioning Missouri City power plant
- Community Solar
- Automatic meter reading
- New utility billing system
The updates were provided by IPL deputy director Andy Boatright and other staff. Download a copy of the presentation.
The forum is being organized by Indy Energy with the assistance of Independence Power and Light.
This will be the eighth community forum Indy Energy has organized since 2014.
